The Face of Black's Secret. Photo: blackssecret.comThe management of Berlin Investment Limited, an indigenous cosmetic company, on Monday launched "The Face of Black's Secret" beauty contest to select models to build its brand.

The company, which specializes in the production of make-up products designed specifically for black African women, is using the contest to search for a young lady between 18 and 30 years to act as a Face Model and Spokesmodel to represent its Black's Secret Brand for 2010.

Ms. Gezelle Addai - Miss Malaika Ghana '09. Photo: Charter HouseMiss Malaika Ghana 2009 was given a final farewell on Thursday, November 26 when the organizers and sponsors officially presented the prizes to the winners at an elaborate cocktail ceremony at Royal Richester Hotel in Accra.

The winner of the competition, Ms. Gezelle Addai, received a cheque for GH¢4,800, which is her annual salary as Miss Malaika Ghana 2009. She also received a GH¢1,500 promotional contract as an MTN charity icon for the mobile telecommunications company, jewelry from Asanska Jewellery, and a voucher from ABC wax prints.

Mawuse Appea is the new Miss Ghana for 2008. Photo: africanews.comMawuse Appea, a student of the University of Ghana, Legon last Friday beat 22 other beautiful ladies to annex this year's Miss Ghana crown.

After proving herself by displaying remarkable acumen, inner beauty, good stage manners and articulacy at the final stages of the Miss Ghana event, which was held live at the National Theater in Accra, the judges had no other choice than to give her the coveted title.

Meanwhile Frances is expected to handover her crown to the winner of this year's Miss Ghana beauty contest in August.

Shirley Frimpong Manso, the managing director of Sparrow Productions, organizers of Miss Ghana, told Beatwaves on Friday that the car had been handed over to Frances, but interestingly the beauty queen also denied receiving the car when contacted.
