Barely 48 hours after a nine-year-old boy was reported to have hanged himself at Bekwai in the Ashanti Region, a man in his late 30s, has also committed suicide in another bizarre circumstance.

This time around, the body was discovered by some workers who were working at a fill-in project site in one of the colonial buildings at North Ridge in Accra, around 4.00pm on Thursday and they reported it to the Nima police.

A 9-year-old boy, Gideon Owusu, has taken the Amoamo community in the Bekwai Municipality in the Ashanti Region by surprise and hit his mother with a suicide at a nearby bush.

The class-two pupil of Amoamo R/C Primary School on the afternoon of last Thursday, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a small piece of cloth, after the school's break time.

A Swedru District Magistrate Court presided over by Mr. N.K.E Osam, has convicted one Madam Mary Danso for allegedly stealing Jewelries and other valuables worth about GH¢110.00 belonging to one Abena Esther.

She also stole an amount of GH¢50.00 from one Akotei.

According to police prosecutor, Detective Sergeant Boateng, on July 5 this year, the accused went to the house of the complainant (Abena Esther) at Agona Nyakorm around 7pm to pay her a visit.

Ghanaian lady fan in SA2010 allegedly raped. Photo. Daily GuideA LADY suspected to be one of the numerous soccer fans sponsored from Ghana to support the Black Stars at the ongoing 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa has allegedly been raped by five heavily-built men at the Muzinda Residence base of the Ghanaians fans in Pretoria.

The indecent act, which has sent shock-waves among soccer fans, was said to have occurred on Thursday evening in an obscure corner of the forecourt of the Muzinda Residence where most of the Ghana soccer fans are residing.

Interestingly, unconfirmed reports say unknown to the lady and her five rapists, the incident, which took place around 11:00pm, had been captured by CCTV cameras placed at vantage points of the residence.
