The Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Tawiah III, seems to be on a collision course with the President, Prof. , following what he describes as the latter’s deliberate sidelining of him and other Ga Chiefs.

He has, therefore, launched a rather vile attack on the President and some of his advisors, labeling them as "standard seven boys."

Some nurses at the La General Hospital have been accused of physically assaulting a female patient and stripping her bare of her cothes.

The patient, who is known only as Assor, visited the hospital to seek treatment for a stomach ache last Friday.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) says it will soon arrest and prosecute noise makers in the capital. It says a task force will also seize instruments and prosecute recalcitrant offenders.

According to the assembly, it received more than a hundred complaints on noise nuisance last year.

A nationwide exercise by the Ministry of Education to reclaim and protect school lands that have been encroached upon is to commence soon.

The Head of the Public Relations Unit of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Paul Krampa, who made this known to the Daily Graphic in Accra, said many school lands had been encroached upon and pointed out that the programme to retrieve the school lands, which would be done in collaboration with the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, would involve traditional rulers and district assemblies.

The Dansoman police have arrested Benjamin Quansah and Holdbrook Smith, both university students, for allegedly collecting money from people to register them for National Identification Scheme (NIS) cards.

The police have been trying desperately ,to track down the alleged fraudsters, following a public outcry that some people were going round collecting money from unsuspecting people to register them for the national identification cards, although the exercise is supposed to be conducted free of charge.
