Mr Kwadwo Ampofo, aka DJ Black, is Africa’s second best disc jockey, according to MNet’s brand new showbiz news show, Studio 53 Extra.

DJ Black, affectionately called Mr Black, comes next to Nigeria’s IK, who, like Mr Black, demonstrates great dexterity behind the console.

Organisers of the programme say they went through a vigorous selection process, travelling across the continent to pick the most-listened-to DJs, and Mr Black was selected among a tall list of nominees.

The Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) has arrested a music producer, Samuel Safo Kantaka, for attempting to smuggle substances believe to be cocaine out of the country.

Safo kantaka, who was arrested Tuesday evening, is said to have expelled over 70 pellets of cocaine, Joy FM sources at the NACOB noted.

Popular music greats who once graced our music scene came out in their numbers Saturday night to help one of their own, Akosua Agyepong celebrate her 20th birthday in music at the Accra International Conference Centre.

Akosua Agyepong was celebrating a music career that started in 1990 attaining 20 years in the industry this year. To commemorate her second decade of doing music commercially, ‘Akosua @ 20 Musical Concert’ was put together by Media Excel Production as a celebration of Akosua Agyepong and also to enable her fans re-live the good old days of her music.

Legendary female Ghanaian music superstar, Akosua Agyepong will on Saturday March 27 stage a historic live concert to mark twenty years in the music industry at the Accra International Conference Centre.

The event, which is being organized on behalf of Akosua by Media Excel Production, will witness performances from seasoned Ghanaian highlife and gospel music legends like A.B Crentsil, Asabea Cropper, Bissa Simon, Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Tagoe Sisters, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Nakorex among others.
